Love the color control in this one. Very tonal. Great expression, I think it makes the photo. Her lashes area awesome.

NICE work! i like the fact that the hair and her eyes move in the same direction. also, she's really, really hot. great color work, here. you do a good job of optimizing without making it seem like a lie.

Thanks Shaun. I've got another shoot lined up with this girl soon... fingers crossed I'll get some more keepers out of it. She's really fun to work with- if it wasn't such a 1950's word, I'd say she was "vivacious".

your mouth almost looks like a heart.
besides that, i'm massively impressed by the colors, sharpness and contrast.
which camera/lens did you use for that?

Not my mouth, I'm afraid =P

The shot was taken on a Canon 350D with the cheap-yet-awesome 50mm f1.8 prime. Equivalent to an 80mm on the 350D, which makes it a lovely lens for intimate portraiture :)

Oh man! I'm saving up this summer for some L glass... sick of stopping all my glass down to get decent acuity.

You ever side-by-sided the 1.8 and the 1.4? Sometimes wonder what could justify paying 4 time as much when the 1.8 is a great lens to start with.

I'll have a gander at your gallery when it's not 12:30am- sounds like you'll have some interesting stuff!

hmm, well it's perfectly sharp at 1.8 and it has USM ;)
